Update on Raid Automatic Blogger Project and Giveaway!

Got a BugHello!

The Raid Automatic Blogger Project has officially come to an end! I’ve had it set up in my house for over four weeks, letting it do its thing.

My impressions and conclusions-

It worked! It definitely cut down on the number of ants and cockroaches in not only the room it was in, but throughout the whole house.

It is simple to use and you don’t have to think about it. You just set it and leave it and it automatically goes off, hence the name Raid Automatic.

It is small and comes with a discrete casing, so it isn’t hard to blend it into your decor subtly.

It made me “feel” like our home was cleaner and healthier. I mean by this statement we had fewer bugs around, getting into everything and pooping everywhere. Cockroaches creep me out but finding that have pooped in the kitchen cupboards creeps me out even more. I know cockroaches can carry a lot of icky stuff so it “feels” nice to have less of them around.

On the negative side of things, I still feel uncomfortable having chemicals continuously sprayed in my house, whether they are naturally derived or not. I’m not suggesting it is unsafe to use by any stretch, I just prefer to keep things as natural as possible and minimise the chemical products I use in the house.

Overall, I would definitely recommend it, especially for those who are busy and have a bug problem. You can just set it, leave it and it will solve your problem!

Do you struggle with getting rid of bugs from your house? Have you ever tried Raid products? Do you have any tips or tricks for getting rid of bugs?

And before I forget, I have an extra one to give away to a reader. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me you want to win! It is only open to Australian Readers, apologies to everyone else. Hopefully I’ll have an international giveaway soon. Winner will be drawn and announced in one week from today!

  1. I haven’t really tried using these my self (be cool to win and try it out) but my dad uses them regularly as he has a sort of indoor/outdoor room he likes to spend time in, in the evenings and if he doesn’t the place is swarming with mozzies. I think I’d be prepared to try it out in the laundry that comes off our backyard and as the kids often leave the door open, in the bugs come but at the same time it’s not a room we do a lot of “living in” so I wouldn’t be so concerned about the kids constantly breathing it in.
