The Garnier BB Cream that works for my Breakouts

What's in my makeup case?Hello!

I mentioned in a recent post that I was using a new cream that had really made a difference on my skin. And a few of you sounded interested so I thought I’d do a little post and share!

It is BB Cream by Garnier! I use the oil free version. It is basically supposed to be an all in one cream, it is tinted, a moisturiser, a sunscreen, a blemish corrector and I’m sure many other things. It has a huge list of benefits and claims and I sorta didn’t believe it (okay I totally didn’t believe it). But it was inexpensive and I wanted to try something new. I wanted something that would conceal, not break me out and contained sunscreen.

Finding something that doesn’t break me out seems near impossible. In the past I have settled for tinted sunscreens that don’t break me out too severely, but definitely contribute to breakouts.

You know what?! It actually works for me, it not only doesn’t cause breakouts, but it actually seems to help. And it has reduced my pore size for sure, which was one of the claims I completely discounted.

The only downside I would say is that it is a little cakey when you first put it on. You only need a little and spread it thin. That is really the only downside I’ve found.

I have heard that many other brands make a BB Cream, it is apparently a new “thing”, I just stumbled upon it in the grocery store and loved it. So if you have a different brand you prefer it is probably worth trying their BB Cream too.

So there you go!! Any great products you’ve tried recently? Have you tried or heard of BB Cream?

  1. I’ve heard good things about the Garnier BB Cream. Sadly I start to sweat the moment I put anything on my face (suncream, moisturiser etc). I can’t wear makeup (I wear lipstick and occasionally I can put cream over a pimple) at all. I’d love to try it otherwise!

    • Yeah when I was living in Queensland the best I could do was a little concealer here and there. You might like bare minerals, it is a powder and absorbs rather than cakes. Probably wouldn’t want to use it every day but if you were going out and wanted something on may work!

  2. I started using cover girl tinted moisturizer under my foundation and had that for YEARS before they came out with a bb cream which feels very similar.

i also recently tried mabelline’s bb cream (only cuz the store was out of my cover girl one!) and it’s not bad either!

hope you and the family are doing well!

    best,
