The Fit Spirit 2013 Year in Blogging

Rainbows 680Hello!

I have so many posts floating around in my head and I can’t wait to find enough time to sit down and jam them out. However, before the “New Year” vibe runs too much further away, I thought it would be fun to share my WordPress 2013 Year in Blogging Stats.

My top five viewed posts were:

Kind of funny to watch and see as I knew the Acne posts were common with searchers (maybe not so much with regular readers?). However, the last few months my reviews of various YouTube Workouts, particularly any involving HIIT have received a lot of hits, excuse the pun. Far more than I would have ever anticipated. I guess HIIT really is the new/ next big thing in exercise.

The top referring sites were:

  1. amazingasset.com
  2. thegreatfitnessexperiment.com
  3. greengirlrunning.blogspot.com

So thank you ladies for your wonderful sites and referrals! 🙂 All three are blogs I frequently read. Amazing Asset actually has massively slowed down on her blogging, but is still a top referrer and was my top referrer last year.

I had hits from 116 different countries, which seems insane! The USA was number one, followed closely by Australia and Canada!

My most commented on post was  Happy Birthday to Me! Thank you for all the Birthday Love! 🙂

And my top commenters were:

  •   Deborah 113 COMMENTS
  •   Stephanie@nowirun.com 73 COMMENTS
  •   Jess @ JessieBear What Will You Wear 71 COMMENTS
  •   Nadiya @ Milk and Honey on the Run 68 COMMENTS

Thank you thank you all for visiting, commenting and checking out my blog during 2013. I hope to have even more cool stuff to share this year. I really hope 2014 is a world-wide wonderful year!

What are your favourite posts to read about? What do you hope to see more of in 2014?

  1. What a fabulous year you had! To answer your question on what i’d love to see more of… simple, anything you want to share. It’s your blog .. however, more recipes would be fabulous. Or maybe even a post on a day in your life w/ your twin girls.

  2. That is an incredible photo if you took it!! “Here is that rainbow I’ve been praying for!” –Jimmy Cliff 🙂

I really appreciate your fair, balanced, and thoughtful comments on my columns, Jess!

One of my closest friends is raising a little girl (a little over three years old now) who looks a lot like your twins! She is a handful and a half! I can’t even imagine having two of them, lol!

    • I unfortunately cannot claim credit for the photo! It is lovely though. I love your blog as I always learn something! And you and your readers are all quite funny amd entertaining. Sometimes having 2 is easier than one as they will now play with each other. They definitely keep me on my toes.

  3. Yay me!!! I tend to think of myself as a slacko re blog reading and commenting, but I do have blogs I read diligently and yours is one. I like the mix of health-related stuff vs life-in-general.

I’ve stopped reading some of the straight health / dieting / weightloss blogs I used to read religiously cos I just wanted to get out of that headspace.

PS. Isn’t it funny the things that are popular. I have a caramel fudge recipe in Debbish that always tops my list (it’s one of only a couple of recipes in the damned blog!). It is yummy though! 😉
