Favourite Holiday Traditions

Christmas #19 - The Timberland Santa

Today is a new day and I’m going to take all of your advice focus on positive things and changing the energy!

I thought I’d share some of my favourite Christmas or Holiday traditions. I’ve seen quite a few of these sort of posts floating around and I really enjoy reading them. Please tell me yours! πŸ™‚

La maison en pain d'Γ©pices

I love decorating the tree, and now this is even more special that my girls help.

I love driving around visiting the streets with houses heavily decorated with Christmas lights.

I love going to Christmas Carols and listening to the beautiful Carolers. This is one I have not done for a few years.

Every year a group of my friends from school have a BBQ at the beach. It is so much fun and so nice to keep our friendship going all these years. This year it didn’t happen, so next year I’m going to have to put the effort in to make sure it does happen!

I love love love buying gifts and trying to get something I know the recipient will really enjoy.

And of course I love opening my own on Christmas morning.

I love to eat Chocolate and Candy of Christmas morning – because there are no such thing as calories on Christmas day!

I just love to eat on Christmas day. Period.

I love to head down to the beach on Christmas day, after opening presents and before our big family lunch.

What are your favourite holiday traditions? I hope you’re all getting excited and enjoying this special time of year!

    • Chocolate and candy is the best on Christmas! I used to love it when I was a kid and I was allowed to eat candy in the morning (always a no no with my parents any other day).

  1. I really love decorating the tree and couldn’t wait to share it with my children ! Unfortunately ever year without fail in our house it is an event filled with tears, tantrums and fights and I usually end up decorating by myself while little people hide in the corner crying.

    • I love them! My in laws always make really awesome ones. And I always want to pick the candy off. But last year my sister in law told me they use actual glue to stick the candy on, which makes sense cause they make such pretty houses. So I’m glad I never tried to eat it! πŸ™‚

    • It is nice. I have spent the last previous Christmas’ in the Northern Hemisphere, which was nice. Most of our Christmas books and ornaments still have a winter theme, so it was nice having a cooler Christmas. BUT I also definitely love a hot, sunny, beach Christmas!!
