Hello!

How are you all? I hope you’re all having a nice week.

Everyone in my family is sick! And yesterday I took a day off training just purely in hopes of not wearing myself down to avoid getting sick… hopefully it works. Today will be a day of disinfecting and cleaning and laundry! And maybe a nice walk outside to get some fresh air into  the system!

I haven’t got any tips or tricks to avoid getting sick when everyone else is, I always feel like if I escape it (which I rarely do) it is purely luck. I am grateful the girls have it at the same time, because I’ve decided back to back illness is worse. Just goes on longer and one of them is bored at home whilst the other is sick and then it swaps!

Onto a different note… a good friend of mine is running in this race. It is called the Cupid’s  Undies Run! Basically everyone who enters gets sent some red undies to run in (or you can wear your own). It is a 1.5km race around Barangaroo, which is a City foreshore (I had never heard of Barangaroo before even though I’ve lived in Sydney most of my life). It is to raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation of Australia! A wonderful cause, and no doubts an hilarious race! I don’t think I’ll be able to go with her as I’d have to bring my girls and I don’t think it is catered to running with strollers. However, I cannot wait to see her pictures and donate a little to the cause!

Have any of you been in some funny or ridiculous runs? I’ve seen pictures from Colour Runs and they look like a blast! As do the Disney Marathons! I’d never heard of a Red Undies Run before! hehe…

  1. That run sounds absolutely hilarious!! I’m in the same boat as you with the sickies, though after fighting it off for 2 months my son finally gave me the gift of his cold :( Normally I use astragalus and elderberry to fight cold and flu. Our pediatrician recommends elderberry and Oscillococcinum for the whole family and if you stay on top of it I think it really works!
