Chocolate Chip Cookies

I apologise for my whingey attitude lately! Too much complaining from me, so I’m going to share with you all the ultimate health food:

The Chocolate Chip Cookie

As part of my packing reduction/ make my own snacks ideas I included treats, because lets face it I love to eat cookie dough and it is calorie free when you cook 80% of the dough.

So here we go:

Cook time 12 mins at 160 degrees Celsius

Ingredients:

125gm of Butter

3/4 cup of Sugar

1 1/2 cups of Flour

1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence

1 egg

1 cup of choc chips

Method:

Mix it all together!

Form little balls and spread out on your cookie tray.

Put it in the oven for 12 minutes and voila!

Should make at least 12 decent size cookies.

And devour!

What is your ultimate health food? Are you a big cookie fan? I have to admit I prefer cookie dough to cookies any day!

  1. Ooooooh… I LOVE chocolate chip cookies!!! There’s a cafe that sells the BEST choc. chip cookies right at the place where I start and finsh a lot of my runs. When I go in there for coffee I can’t even look at the cookies πŸ˜€ But if I really need a sweet fix I go for a cupcake from a local cupcake shop… sooooooo good!

  2. I love chocolate chip cookies, they remind me of Grandma ! No matter how many times I make her recipe it isn’t quiet the same. I make mine with chopped walnuts but to make them a little more “health food” you can add a tin of drained chickpeas, they blend well with the walnuts and no one really notices the difference unless you tell them – except my partner who acts like I’ve poisoned them when I sneak the chickpeas in for the kids.

    • Haha! They make me think of Grandma too! I could never recreate hers, hers were so unbelievably moreish weren’t they!?! She used to put walnuts in too. I’m not sure on the chickpeas… great for the kids though!
